Could this be a river pilots badge? Unfortunatly, I can't find an image to post.

Doesn't look like a disk Or a pin....more like some sort of 4th Reich medallion-apparently silver or silver plated. No thanks..

Now I am sure, this is a river pilots badge for the River Weser, (lotse = pilot) whether it is real or not, I don't know. Need better pics. and of the reverse, they are pretty rare. I seem to remember that they are numbered on the reverse.

Thats what they called it at the auction tonight a river pilots badge. They said it had a reserve of $400 bucks. It did not look right to me the back had crude numbers in what looked like electro pen as one was taller than the other. The pin part was different than the one in the picture in the link that wood posted. It looked to be a copy 4th reich as William stated. Cheers, Robert

Good thing you steered away from the badge then.

Thanks for link. What can I say - they are fantastic. I hope you shoot the non-safe queen a couple of times a year (with mild loads to save the toggle).

Yeah I guess fakers will copy anything to try to make a buck. Scout the P08 is fun to shoot I like to shoot the light 115 grain winchester white box in it. Cheers, Robert
