Not sure, Dean. That's why I love this site! It's awesome to have experts such as Matt L and the others to enlighten us! I only buy discs from sellers/diggers that I know are legit. If these guys find bodies, they will contact the proper authorities. I would NEVER knowingly buy from a 'Black Digger!' A lot of dics from what I read come from spots where soldiers ditched all their medals and other goods before, or in case of capture.

Very nice disc- and that's just minor corrosion damage from being buried; 'battle' damage would involve bending as well as tearing of the metal so the edges of a cut would be bent, and it would most of the time be a cut, not a missing bit.
Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
