HELP!! - WW1 British 218 Squadron
I have posted this on another area of the forum, but thought I would try here as well. I'm looking for sites that can provide operational information regarding the 218 squadron of WW1. Personnel, when formed, CO, etc. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Dennis,
The Op's book of 218 sqn is considered 'lost' somewhere in the National Archive, but there are people out there who are trying to piece together the squadrons early history accurately. One is the archivist of the 218 sqn Association Steve Smith, maybe he can help you?

Many thanks. I'm in the initial stages of compiling information to write an article regarding Marine pilot Everett Brewer and his Gunner, Harry Wershiner, that I posted on the forum some time back. It's interesting to note that in the links you provided have the history of who downed the 1st German by US Marines are wrong. It was Brewer and Wershiner (2 planes Credited).
