The blue and yellow aircraft is a Stearman trainer.

aircraft recognition is an interest of mine. and the RAF trained with the USAAF in the U.S. southwest during the war.......all a prelude to how NATO later moved its pilot training, or surely jet fighter training to the U.S. southwest in the follow on cold war period. The Luftwaffe der Bw has a base at Holloman in New Mexico, which is in this tradition.
