I am trying to find a list of British single engine aircraft
    used in ww2.

From what I remember, the plane I am looking for was
possibly used by the Royal Navy. I had a very unique
looking prop. Maybe a sub chaser, or torpedo bomber
and used as a trainer after the war.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Greg

Are we going to start flying now as well as riding Greg?
Sorry, can't help, not my area.

Thanks, I did not see the one listed that I am looking for.

My brother in law is helping to restore this old Brit plane.
It is supposedly the last one that is still in flying condition.
I had some information on it but my hard drive crashed and
    I lost it all.

    I will keep looking.

Not hardly. I can barely afford the bikes, yet alone a plane.
Besides-I do my flying just a couple feet off the blacktop.

    Thanks Gunny
I think that might be it. The prop looks right.
I'll have to break down and call my brother in law to get
all the details. Maybe he can send some pictures.

If your bro is in Wisconsin too, it must be this beast.

XT752 - The Worlds Last Flying T5 Fairey Gannet

XT572 is the last Gannet that is in an airworthy condition, although currently not flying I believe. It's a T5 trainer version, so that fits the story.
