Can anybody help ..

I've picked up a WW2 Kitbag which is named to ...

PO W.Morris X22207
(on the bottom)

And

P.Morris
P/MX 722207
WT.R
(On the side)

Also ... there is

(Marked in larger white letters on the side.)

Has anybody access to Ancestry records etc, which might help to ID him further ?

Just a suggestion, and thinking "outside the box"! Maybe the PO W. Morris is NOT Prisoner of War BUT is actually a NAVAL RANK and it is actually PETTY OFFICER W.Morris and the number X22207 is a service number.

Just a thought guys.

I agree that its unlikely to be Prisoner of War. Its a bit odd that it says P Morris on one side and then the rank (PO) followed by W Morris on another. Which letter does his name begin with? It seems most like to me that his name is P Morris since both combinations begin with that. Perhaps he has two middle initials, O and W?

I re-checked the kitbag,

And on the base, it actually has P W Morris, and the 1st part of his number was obscured .. it is WX 722207

I'm now wondering if he was RAF, and maybe the "WT.R" was Worcester Reg.

The 722207 seems to tie as possible RAF number, but IF army possibly linked with RA.

Thanks to Gary mentioning the RAF, and, bearing in mind that I dont know how the RAF service numbering works/ed, could the PO actually stand for PILOT OFFICER? Just another thought thrown into the mix guys.
