    Medal “FOR BRAVERY”

    8. Deputy Spotter of a 45 mm cannon Battery, Red Army Man VIL’CHINSKIS KARLIS LYUDVINOVICH, for the fact that, in the battle during the forced crossing of the river Oder between 15 and 24.4.45 despite the strong firing of the enemy he, together with his crew, achieved with the firing from his weapon the destruction of two machineguns and up to 20 soldiers and officers of the enemy.
    Born in 1920, native of the Latvian SSR, Mitava Region, Bukajshu District, House Pogajshi. Single. Father: Vil’chinskis Lyudvin. He resides in the birthplace. Without any party affiliation, Latvian, drafted in the Red Army by the Mitava District Military Commissariat, Latvian SSR in 1944.
