Hi Terry, yes. These badges were really an excercise in moral building in my opinion. The first ones were introduced in 1942 when the Red Army was still losing the war.
Later other badges were introduced to cover different trades and arms of service, some not being introduced until post war. In the late 1950's they were discontinued.
The rarest badges are for Excellent Baker and Excellent Cook. My wife Lez has an Excellent Cook's badge in her collection.
