I concur with Marcel, this one is a fake.
It's trying to copy the type 2 badge posted below, but has several discrepencies if you look closely.
I would have liked to have gotten the measurements, but I know it's not in your posession.
These should generally be 45mm x 39mm.

You did the right thing and posted it for opinions, many wouldn't have before purchasing it!

I have one of these fakes, we discussed it about 7 years ago, Some thought it real, but at the end of the day I think we concluded fake
