Help on identifying the right individual in award doc
When I look up АЛЕКСЕЕВ Афанасий Антонович in the database of the feats of the people there are two individuals who match (there are two different dates of birth).
Now they were both officers and I"m guessing as they rose in the ranks, the award records reflect their rank at the time of awarding and the 'person' identifier shows their final rank?
Can anybody give me some pointers to determine which of these two individuals the award doc refers to? Maybe some of the other details?
Thank you for any assistance.

So here is the long service award, does this mean that the it is the 'person' record listed as captain born in 1915?
The date of this award in 1958 and the fact that it is for 20 years of service, suggest he entered the red army in 1937? That would also match the captain.

My best guess would be the Captain, born 1915, inasmuch as he was still alive in 1985 to receive the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class, 1985 Jubilee issue.

Seems logical from my limited experience. It seems 'the captain' entered the Red Army in late-37, making the long service award correct for 20 years to be awarded in 58(?).
He was also awarded the Red Star, but again, both were, and these records don't contain the award number (?)

Can you post better scans of the Victory over Germany document? I'd like to know what the stamp says. It might provide a clue.

Trying a larger scan of the award booklet (Click to enlarge)
