Re: Help identifying Soviet badges and possible values.
Hi,
Badges are very common :
- Combined Arms Specialist
- Soviet Naval submarine metal
- Parachutist Instructor with a pendant for 10 additional jumps
- Excellent in the Air Force badge
My opinion is that none of them are interesting.
Regards.

I wouldn't say not interesting... But yes, very common and not nearly as valuable/ desirable as WWII vintage pieces.

Re: Help identifying Soviet badges and possible values.
As to the value of your pieces, I'd search the completed listings on ebay for similar examples.

Perhaps not very valuable, but interesting as relics of that empire.

Re: Help identifying Soviet badges and possible values.
Well, the Officer's Combined Arms 1st class badge is a classic cold war, 70s-80s item. Not rare, but nicely made and great for displays.
The sub badge is, IMO a copy of a really desireable early badge.
The para badge is like #1; 70s-80s classic Soviet militaria. Not rare at all but there are many different variations to collect.
the fourth is a very late 'excellent airforceman' badge. Aluminum and paint. The earlier, brass and enamel versions are a lot sexier.
IMO, $7, $5, $7, $1. On a good day.

A nice grouping of cold war (mostly) badges. Apparently not of any real value, but certainly interesting!

Ok thanks guys, it's nice to know what they are even if they aren't anything rare. I got them free with some medals I bought anyway!
So does the 100 jump para badge represent a sort of qualification and the 10 extra was optional? Surprising they're not worth more if this is the case because jumping out of an aeroplane 100 times is pretty impressive!
Sorry Eric, what do you mean?
Cheers
Tom
