Hi, you have an Order of the Red Star (top left) What serial number does this one have please, as I will be able to date it from that. I collect Red Stars
Next to it is an Order of the Red Banner of Labour.
Bottom row: Victory over German Medal, left, and a 1985 issue Order of the Great Patriotic War 2nd class.
Cheers, Ade.
thanks Ade the number is large 1800068. I had another that came with this inherited group but I gave it to my cousin. I would like to know what year it was issued. Thanks again
here are the backs the numbers are not visible in pics but go like this
left to right Red Star 1800068 next with blue ribbon 886941
next row no number on the metal and the other is 5060961 thanks for your interest.
From my serial number database I can tell you that:
Your Order of the Red Star was awarded in 1945.
The Order of the Red Banner of Labour was awarded in 1973.
As I mentioned before the Order of the Great Patriotic War 2nd class is a 1985 issue.
The alloy suspender on the Victory over Germany medal is a postwar made one. Early issues are brass or steel.
Cheers, Ade.
I am happy to learn about these items Thanks Again Ade for the great info!!!
