Hello, here is my Medal for Battle Merit, from late 1944. I have one issue with it, which is the medal part itself is smaller than the "For Courage" medal, and I was wondering if that is normal. Thanks!

War merit is smaller than Bravery medal yes.
A good medal with what appears newly painted red letters.
On my laptop it looks like it is the original red paint in the letters. On my phone it looked like a repaint. My apologies.
