Medal for Bravery #3099817

I have purchased this medal on Ebay. Serial number is #3099817.

The condition is nice, but I´m not sure if the suspension is original.

What do you think about it?.
Is the serial number from WWII?.

The medal was manufactured shortly after the war. It was issued around 1948, but most likely for wartime exploits. The aluminum suspension and the ribbon are later replacements.
