Medal for the Capture of Budapest
Just added this nice 2nd Variant.
A battle that has always fascinated me. If you visit the city today there are many traces of the battle.
Casualties estimated at 80,000 Soviets killed, 50,000 Axis killed, 38, 000 civilians killed (although these figures to differ to whatever source you read)

Nice example, worn but not tattered. Just the way these look best
The "capture" medals (Koenigsberg, Budapest, Vienna and Berlin) all had three variations and this would be the middle or 2nd variation with the ring being an integral part of the medal rather than soldered on.

Anyone have any researched awards for the battle? I can't recall anyone posting one on any forums.
Nice one. I would however carefully remove the residu from the glue of the pricetag.
