Medal Capture of Budapest - Original?

Article about: I have found a Budapest Medal which seems to be an original, but I would like an expert opinion. The medal is a WW2 era, as well as the Pin being the second variant of the first type. Luckil

It doesn't have to be the same medal. I looked through my medal and can't find one, but, maybe my eyesight isn't as great as it used to be (even with a magnifying glass). I also looked through Matt's medals and can't spot this watermark.

Both my variation 1 type A and type B has this feature indeed. But I have seen originals that don't have this feature.
As Marcel said, some medals have the detail but some dont. Maybe this shows more than one mint produced the medal.

I agree there was more than one Mint producing these medals, as some have a rim on the reverse and others don't.

This feature mentioned by Vasonaritz I have seen on both variations (with an without rim). And both these variations also come without this feature.

Hello, what reason did you get this medal? I may still have the same medal, but I remember it as silver

The medal was awarded for the assualt and capture of Budapest in '44 - '45.

It should be made of brass with a gilt finish, I've never seen a silver version of this medal before.

I agree. It is not silver.
