I received a Nato Medal and a OEF medal when I was at Bagram in 2008. They had a little market where the locals could come on base and sell their goods. I saw lots of enfield rifles for cheap as well as medals and other military items. I didn't buy much cause I didn't trust that they were 100 authentic items.
Yeah they still have those places. Not everything is 100% authentic but there are some really good and authentic things for purchase... you just gotta find someone who knows what to look for when looking at the items... I asked around my unit if any one knew of anything about them... i looked up on the net too to see if I could find similar items and at what prices... i think i paid a decent price for it.
Thank you sooo much for your help! I am interested in things similar to this medal. I find it very fascinating. I tried to google translate it and thats when I came up short in the searches. Luckily I found this place. Thank you again!
