    New in my collection:
    Order of Glory 2nd Class to старшина Aleksey Prokofievich Savchenko.

    Born 1925, Ukrainian. Active in the Red Army from August 1943. Three times lightly wounded. Awarded with the Bravery Medal, Order of the Red Star, Order of Glory 3rd and 2nd Class.

    Section leader of the 1st Rifle Company, 896 Rifle Red Banner Suvorov Order III Class Regiment, 211 Rifle “Chernigov” Red Banner Division.

    Order of Glory 2nd Class # 19926, awarded 7 May 1945. Citation:

    During the engagement on 19 March 1945 near the village Jarząbkowice of Krakow region, comrade SAVCHENKO, together with his section, was one of the first men to rush into the enemy trenches under enemy fire. In the ensuing melee, he personally killed 2 German soldiers. His section up to 10. This assisted in fulfilment of the combat objectives.

    In the engagement near the village Zebrzydowice of Krakow region on 26 March 1945, comrade SAVCHENKO lead an assault team. With a bold decisive strike, he assaulted an enemy house turned into a heavily defended strong point. Trowing grenades, he eliminated 6 enemy machine-gunners and thus assisted our advancing infantry.

    the 3rd degree is lost ??

    Would be great to find the 3rd degree as well indeed and re-unite these.

    Unfortenately his 3rd Class and other awards are lost, and will probably never be re-united, as is almost always the case. But if anyone finds one of these mentioned awards, please inform me
