it seems like that ebay seller bid on his own item...now he relisted it for $1,900 buy price

I've seen this practice quite a few times in the past weeks, mostly sellers from Ukraine...
Indeed quite shady and not fair.

I notified ebay of the shill bidding. I don't think it will do anything but you never know.

I often notified Ebay when I was still a lot on there but they don't give a damn....unfortunately. And even if they started to care now, the seller could be blocked but will start all over under a new name with new mail address and will continue his shady business. Sad....

Obviously, such “self bidding” practice exists and flourish.
But couldn’t it be, that the seller was unsatisfied witj the price acheived and simply cancelled the deal. This can harm tje sellers rating, but can be some in case he thinks he looses a 1000 bucks.
