Silvered excellent driver badge
Can someone (with the proper reference book?) tell me more about this excellent driver badge which appears to be plated, maybe nickel. It is plaited over brass but it does appear to be plated under the enamel.
Sorry for the poor fotos, I don't have it with me and these old phone ones are all I can find

I looked at my comrades book very closely over 4 days the week before last, I do not remember this being shown. I am sure it would have stuck in my memory. So I cannot add anything, sorry.
No trace of any glit finish anywhere?
Cheers, Ade.

Hi,
authentic insignia and beautiful, manufacturing 'zinc'.

I'm not sure it is solid silver metal....I scratched the back I can't tell (don't want to damage it) but it MAY be nickel plated brass? This is not the only observed silver piece, but I do believe even if plated it is factory as it is under the enamel....can someone with a book at least determine the variation? I'm going to guess it follows one of the known stampings?

Looks like a manufacturing Pobeda ( Better pics please )

+1 Brass and nickel plating .

Some other silvered examples from another source.
Sniper in the middle
Then I can't tell in the bottom foto if it is the whole badge or just details? Or maybe plating wearing off
-
I think the bottom pic is just plating wear?
But the Sniper looks silvered. Interesting stuff.
Cheers, Ade.
