It is a plaque commerating the "Heroic Defenders of Mogilev in July 1941."
I know its a long shot...Any idea how old it is?

Thank you, this is one of the reasons i love militaria. A small item has encouraged me to research an area of history i wasn't familiar with. Here is a photo of the Chapel for the Defenders in Mogilev.
Considering the look of the metal, it appears to be something definitely post-WWII. I'd say 1970s or early 1980s and just on a whim, seeing how it's commemorating a 1941 event, I think you can safely say it was made btwn. 1971-1981.
