Spot the difference

Hi,
Soviet medals and awards is not my usual area of interest but i spoted a rather nice Medal for Veteran of Labor and at a price i couldn't walk away from.

Here are 2 medals, one is real the other a possible repro... can you spot the diference?

Both medals have identical mint mark on the ring but unfortnately my camera sux so i couldn't get a clear pic of it.

Hi Darren, they made 36 million of these! Are you sure about one of these being fake? I don't see it myself. This maker "LMD" (Leningrad Mint) made two versions, the type 2 and type 3.

No, neither are fake/repro. A trick question i guess you could say, just a way of verifying what i suspected without doing the ususal real or fake thread.

Very very cheap but being that such a huge number of these were made its not surprising. My knowledge on Soviet militaria is quite limited i must admit but i did a bit of research online and looked over the medal many times, compared it to pics online and couldnt foult it.

It may be a common medal and as cheap as chips but i like it.
