Two Soviet WWII Medals for Review. Military Merit & Valor.
Hello, everyone!
I literally just bought these medals from ebay while on lunch break at the school.
I know the rule of thumb is to ask on the forum first, but I have done business with the seller in the past and I trust him. Could I have some opinions on them?

Good & good. The red lacquer on the BM may have been replaced though, and the CMM's suspension is a postwar replacement.

I would agree. On the whole, good.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Two Soviet WWII Medals for Review. Military Merit & Valor.
Thanks for the quick response, Auke and Ade! I assumed the lacquer on the BM was replaced and I knew about the CMM's postwar suspension.
Can these medals be researched with as much detail as an ORS?

Re: Two Soviet WWII Medals for Review. Military Merit & Valor.
The citations for these two medals are usually more concise, as are the biographical details, but they can be researched.

Thanks, Auke! Expect an e-mail in the near future.

Here's an example of the research for a double BM group: Georgy Aleksandrovich Nadirashvili

Hi Auke and Ade,
Could either of you explain what was required to earn each of these medals? To me, it seems as if the two could be awarded for the same thing... almost as if they are interchangeable...?
