Just remember if you plan to shoot them, do not be surprised if the case ruptures. I have fired old stuff, and the case split. If you want to save it as an undamaged cartridge case, after firing it, I suggest you pull the bullet, dump out the propellant, snap the primer, then anneal the case neck to soften the brass, then reload it if you want to.

Well I most likely won't be shooting this stuff as my friends grandfather is giving me some 30-06 Match ammo so I don't shoot this stuff

Personally, I would not shoot the National Match ammo either !

I bought two unopened boxes of NM about fifteen years ago,
and have not seen any here since then.............!

Used to buy 'American Eagle' or the cheapest .30-06 I could find
at about 20 rounds for $20 - I was shooting for fun anyhow.

Just go and get some commercial stuff at the local
    hardware/sporting goods store.

I have a lot of AP you can shoot..........

How much the AP rounds? I'll most likely be selling the ammo he gave me as it looks like reloaded cases with Soft point bullets.

Reloading is still cheaper (in the long run) than commercial ammo. I once bought boxes of commercial ammo (won't mention who the manufacturers were), and I pulled all the bullets, and very carefully weighed each propellant charge. In a box of 20 rounds, the average was a variance of as much as 20% in the charge. That makes accuracy very difficult to achieve.

If the ammo that was given to you has been reloaded, then shoot them.
    I cannot ship AP...........

I am doing what all new members do, and trawling through old posts to see what is interesting.

The 30-06 with the BN and CN headstamps dated in the 1940s is clandestine ammunition made at lake City and elsewhere in the 1960s for the CIA backed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba. it is neither WW2 ammo or particularly rare in collector circles, but is an interesting addition to any collection.
