Article about: Got a dozen of these all dated 42 and maker F & A,dont look like Brass to me?says they were Thompson SMG but could be .45 pistol.thanks in advance.

    Steel cases from Thompson SMG, FA (Frankford Arsenal, Philadelphia, PA) and 1942 dated.

    Not necessarily for the Thompson altho they work just fine in my M1A1.
    Used to be easy to find at the gun shows, but no more. Seldom see them.
