    Hi' All, This came in with some ammo boxes, can you advise us of it's purpose? Thanks in advance.

    Looks like a shortened transport tube for the 88mm rounds?...

    Hi' Yes it does, Only problem is it stands around 14cm high by 6.5cm internal diameter.

    It goes in the bottom of the transport tube. The complete round is put in the tube, fuze first, and rests on this support with the fuze down the centre.

    There were a range of these supports for most of the different artillery and Flak rounds.
