Some similar looking chargers (although not used in the same way.)

The larger one is an experimental charger for the Bren gun and the smaller one for the early version of the British FN SLR, the XL8E1 that became the L1A1. Also is a packet label for the latter showing the "Horseshoe Charger" title.

Thanks. They are worn like ammo pouches. I had a backpack style carrier also but traded it for Italian uniforms. Rich A. in Pa.
