Bought these today

Bought these today have no idea what they are but they're WW1 dated.

Paid £5 for the full clip so I'm happy.

Not bad at all for five pounds, congratulations!
These are German 7.92x57mm cartridges and the 'GM' coded ones are from Messingwerke Goggel, in Moosach. They appear to be in relatively good shape, too.

There's a second one I need to go back and get for the same price! Didn't realise they were German, but thinking about it there are no crow's feet anywhere. Thanks for the good news.

If I'm correct about the crows feet you mean then you're talking about the broad arrow.. Right? Thats just for British stuff. At least if its the one we are both thinking of.

Note that they are still live rounds ie they can still go off if subjected to great heat or strikes on the primer/detonator cap on the bottom of the rounds-not sure on what the law in Britain is on possessing them.
