Can someone advise on this unusual ww2 casing?
Article about: Hi all. I recently dug up these 3 casings that are (to me) really unusual. Hardly any markings on the head apart from the date. Also the rim is nicely chamfered as well. I have over the year

Hi Phil.
Found in Normandy. France. Thats what threw me. Bit odd to find in this location. Found in general area known as Krauts Corner, slightly north of St. Lo. So Americans, or Germans could have dropped them I assume.

The Germans sometimes equipped some second line troops with captured weapons,that might explain it.....Pete.
