Confirm or Crush Family Gossip re ordnance shell

Some say that this was in my great-grand-parents house because it was some sort of ordnance shell.



Any ideas? It could be a really weird vase, or the original She Wee, lipstick for elephants...

well it certainly looks very art deco for ordnance ,how heavy is it ?

I don't have scales but I'd guestimate approx 0.5kg. It's quite light.

This is hardly my area of expertise, but this looks like no kind of ordnance shell I could think of. I'd say it is an Art Deco vase.
