DM pistol clips (2)

Howdy y'all. Another cool find that I found while doing the estate sale were I found a 37mm projectile is Vintage DM pistol clips (2). Do you guys think this is WW1 or WW2?

Reminds me of Mauser 7.63x25mm rounds for the C96 Broomhandle.

Yep.. looks like C96 broomhandle rounds.

One of my friends who collects ammo and WW2 stuff thought it was German P-38 pistol ammo. Sadly the family does not want to sell the ammo or ammo clip. At this time I do not have the ammo or clips in the shop's possession. I do want to say thank you for the help!

They are certainly not 9mm Parabellum for the P.38 (straight case) neither are they 7.63mm Mauser. They may be 7.65mm Parabellum for the Parabellum pistol (Luger) but I think they are probably 8mm Japanese Nambu.

Only the headstamp (or lack of one) will confirm.

The chargers are pre WWI if marked "DM" for Deutsche Munitionsfabriken.

A quick measurement with a caliper gauge would solve this one quite quickly. They do look a bit too short for 7.63 Mauser, now that I look again.

L-R...30 Mauser...8mm Nambu....30 Luger.

Hate to through a monkey wrench into this discussion. But look at the post that Douglas2496 posted about the C96 he has. The photos show his Broomhandle mauser with the same stipper clips and if you count the rounds in each clip in both posts they are the same. I have never seen 8mm nambu in stripper clips holding 10 rounds each.
Just my observation.
