    This is beyond the age of my collecting but thought it was a nice example to share. This 37 MM round was built in Paris and has US acceptance marking. I believe the US purchased many machine guns and cannons from Allied armies as we did not have much going into WWI. I think this is for the mounted Hotchkiss gun. The US acceptance marking is normal to my understanding. This is inert except for the primer. Good example to compare to. All opinions are welcome and appreciated. Thank you for looking.

    I have an identical example, I believe many of these were made safe post war and sold as souvenirs on the Somme.
