Grenade from WWII?

I found this inert grenade in a case filled with other WWII things, the seller doesn't know what year or war its from. So, what does the war relics community think. (my pictures still end up sideways).
Pin is not in the grenade.

Is this the correct place for this or is there an ordnance/grenade category for this?

Well after doing some researched it isn't WWII it is from Vietnam.

correct WW2 was a "Pineapple type" Korean war "Pot belly Stove shape" and that one is a Nam "Baseball type" threw many a live and practice one with just a detonater in it in US Army early 70's Korean war also used many left over Pineapple WW2 type. The Nam baseball type you show can really be thrown due to its shape. Have no idea what they use today? The ones I had were OD painted for a live one and blue for the practice one. timothy

The one above has been painted in odd colours.

Normally, the lever is light blue ( Practice grenade ) with markings
on the top and a red/brown tip. The fuse is lead grey. The body
is an incorrect shade as well. It looks like the type found
in surplus stores.........

I noticed that as well but the hole in the bottom shows it was a practice grenade at one point or was manufactured to be one and never used.

I have one like this. A replica. At least the bottom part. And as Steve notes, the lever should have some ink stampings on it.
