Default Help identifying my WWII US artillery shell

Hello, I have read on this forum for a while and decided I would make an account because I finally needed help on something I have. :P

I just got this WWII artillery shell, and I'm not quite sure what size/type it is, what size fuze I need to buy for it, etc. I know it is USA made and WWII era, because an old friend dug it up in local bombing range territory in the 1950's. It is about 22 inches tall and weighs 41 pounds, according to my scale. There are some random numbers and such on it that do not state the size or type, to my knowledge. It looks like 130mm to me, but maybe somebody knows these better than I do? I have been collecting helmets, knives and bayonets etc. for a while, so this is my first piece of ordinance. (Certainly not the last)

The page with the picture may take a day before it can be viewed by the public.

    Any help appreciated, thanks guys.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Whilst the numbers may appear unconnected, they may well give us a clue as to what the round is. Can you post them please ?

    Many thanks

Okay then, here are the numbers.

Around the top rim: 10001-434054 (And I think another 5, but I can't make out if that's what it is)

In a square close to top: I 20 (or is it 1 20?)
Center side of shell: 41 EMPTY
Center side, lower down: B 5
    Lower on side: A

    Does that help any?
