This item was found in Belgium. I think it is the inner glass tube of a German Blendkörper 2H.
Anybody ever seen one before? The solution inside seems to be calcium chloride. Is this safe to have, and can I sell this piece on internet?
    Thanks for any input.

When I look at pictures of the Blendkörper 2H, the inner glass tube can be opened and filled at top. This tube cannot be opened as it is a one piece glass tube. Not to sure now what is inside the tube.
Could it be a chemical delay fuse?

First thought is that its supposed to fit inside the lead horns on sea mines..?

Ah okay, that does make sense as it was found near the seaside. Do you have pictures of that inka?
All the other stuff found there were German S Mines and Eiergrenate. Only one of these came up there.

I cant find the pic I had of those horns. I worked at a large museum before and we had some mines like it,and this glass tube looks very similar.

No Im not sure, but if it was from a smoke grenade it would be calcium chloride. If it turns out to be a seamine horn than I have no clue what's inside. Maybe some sort of acid. Better not drop it on the carpet...
