    Hello Everyone:

I have been buying and collecting anything K98 related for a long time like most of you and some of you are just getting started.
But, I'm sure as you all know ammo is hard to come by, and original surplus is even harder. I remember being able to pick up thousands of surplus rounds for dirt cheap.... (Dirt really isnt that cheap anymore either..)

So, are you guys finding ammo?

I only have 1 of these battlepacks to my name now...

    Thanks
    Cody

Are you planning on shooting it ! Its hard to believe that all the post war surplus has been consumed. There must have been more countries making 7.92 than .303, although I believe the .303 surplus has all but dried up.

About all that shows up any more, in the way of Mauser ammo, are the worse than crap Turkish surplus junk...and even it isn't cheap anymore.

I have no plans on shoothing this ammo, I handload my own for shooting in my K98. I use pretty much the same load data as used by the Germans.

and Yes, that turkish ammo is not worth what people are asking...

This clip of 1938 dated ammo was given to me by a guy at the local hardware store who thought I might be interested in it as he knew I collected militaria.

No I did not! I'm a medals collector. Price was right and I took it for what he claimed it to be.

    So what do I have??
