I am still picking these surplus rounds up for about 40 to 50 cents each depending on the quantity. I have heard stories of case cracking issues in the 1950 series but have personally fired over 150 rounds with no problem.

Thanks for posting that here. I believe the problem was isolated to the 1953 batch, with other years performing at least adequately.

It's interesting that FN provided cartridges that were not strictly 'new' production at the time the contract began. It makes sense that they would want to move existing stock and I'm sure the cartridges were fine, but I was under the impression that they were brand new at the time the Yugoslavs received them with the contract Model 1924 rifles.

And coincidentally I've been offered some yugo patrone - B copies. (Observation rounds that go boom!) Don't know about that stuff, it makes me nervous.
