M2 Ball Ammo

Here is about 1/2 of my M2 ball Ammo that I have collected. Most are 50s dated, about 50 rounds are 40s dated and a few 70s dated.
The 1903 blanks are 30s dated which I thought were cool.


and No I am not the idiot that wrote on these...




Here is one of my ammo cans that I keep them in, I always wondered what the HC stands for that is stamped on top?

Lake City!! Good stuff. I would shoot it!!!!!!! Maybe not the 40's stuff.
So do any of the En bloc clips have any marking in the middle of the center ring?

Most of the enblocks are marked my favorite is the SA one since my Garand is a Springfield I keep that one stored seperate
I would like to find an early SA bayonet to display with them too
I would not hesitate to shoot any of the ammunition but for collective purposes I will not shoot anything dated 40s or before I generally keep my 50s as stock and shoot all my 60s and newer ammo
I have about 100 more rounds that are 70s that I plan on shooting and about 80 that are AP that I will not shoot unless needed lol

Thanks Steve when I get the 70s dated ammo out and the weather clears up, you should come down out of the arctic and come burn some ammo with me! I might try out some AP before it gets banned here too... lol

Yes I used to own three. Sold one to my brother - who never fired it.
I have two remaining: a mint CMP model, and a 'Augusta Arsenal'
rework from the Korean War era, which is in average
condition.........
