    Hi guys,i wanted to share my most important items
    My grandfather bought them as souvenirs in Germany in the late 40s(maybe early 50s) while he was working there.
    A few years ago he gave them to me and so i started collecting ww2 militaria
    M24 grenade and K98 bayonet

    My grandpa explained the instructions on the head,but he didn't know the meaning of the last line. Could someone explain me ?

    Hi Spyros, πολύ ενδιαφέροντα είδη, nice items...The potato-masher is exceptional...In Enlish it says "Before use, unscrew grenade cap". The other initials i don't know. Perhaps Lot No...Maybe other forum members can provide help...Take care, Thanos.

    I believe it says...install detonater before using ?...

    I thought it was but, as it isn't my real area of expertise, didn't want to say anything. The porcelain ring is too big, the handle isn't right and the embossed stamp on the head isn't right either.

    I agree with Ade that it is a recent replica.

    But this isn't possible!My Grandpa gave the items to me on 2003, and told me that he had bought both of them while he was working in Germany some years after the war ! They used to make so good copies in the late 40s (early 50s ) ???

    Not that I'm aware of. It certainly looks exactly like one of the replicas from the early 2000s.

    Sorry spyros, but I don't know what to say. It's a copy, not an original.
