A quick search in the web, resulted that J.P. & S.W. was Union Works at Willenhall.
No J.P. alone. Anyway another member (Paul the grenade) may be of a help here.
Nos 5 & 23 were obsolete by the end of WWI and No 36 was used.
    Regards, Thanos.

    Hi Colt 1911A1
    It is well J.P and not J.P & S.W.
Early may be the two have worked together and then JP alone?
I know that the use the plug Mills No. 5 throughout the war but when it stopped the manufacturing of the N°5? never saw a plug N°5 from 1917 or 1918.

    Thank Ade,
All the manufacturers are not in the Mills Bomb site, I have other manufacturers who are not on the website of David Sampson.
