Article about: I have not seen one of these before i guess the necks broken off but looks like a .303 thats melted a bit. R /I\\ L P V 1 Annoyed from this ads?   any ides folks,regards Colin.

    My guess is its a blank charge used for igniting or firing another device, but I have never seen one before. Its certainly not an ordinary .303.

    yes i thought grenade launcher but cant turn up anything,im sure someone will know.

    Possibly, but it dosnt look to me like it would chamber in a .303 rifle. I was thinking more like a blank charge used to fire a mine (the British mk2 shrapnel mine for example used a blank 303 type cartridge) but I'm really not sure what it is.

    same total lengh as .303 case so may be its not missing a neck,i havnt got calipers to hand but .303 projectile fits snug

    Its a Tube, Percussion Mk6, used to ignite the main charge on breech loading Artillery in the Great War.
