    That 7x61 Sharpe and Hart looks interesting. Very steep shoulders. What's the bottom ring for and wich rifle fire this cartridge? Pedersen is good solid Danish name

    The bottom ring on the round is what is known as a 'belted' cartridge,
    used in large bore 'magnum' rifles to provide correct headspacing,
    prevent over-insertion, and keep the bolt face against
    the bullet.........

    Hi,the only commercial rifle chambered for the 7x61 S&H was the Danish Schultz & Larsen.

    These are the R-P .22 Accelerator cartridges,I don`t believe you can buy these anymore as there would be no rifling marks on the bullets for a police ballistics test.
