Just wondering zwerge, does the writing in marker on the case of the rounds subtract from the value?

I don`t believe it does,it rubs off very easily.....Pete.

No, not generally because it can easily be removed with solvent. I write the headstamp of all my rounds with a fine marker on the case so I can easily identify them when lying in the drawer.

I would date the Martini-Henry round to the 1950/60s and the SFM Vetterli round to between the wars.

Here`s a couple of 9mm cartridges from Winchester,these are the old Truncated Cone hollow point type,Win. stopped using this HS marking around 1930,the one on the left has the letter W impressed in the bullet.

Very nice 5.56 drill rounds...Haven't seen before...Is the 'annulus' rubber 'o' ring and polysterine?

Hi Thanos,the "primer" appears to be polystyrene the same as the "bullet".It must be formed that way as it is too big to be a firing pin impression.....Pete.
