Apologies if I have posted in the wrong thread.

I run a number of websites relating to the former (WWII) RAF station at Gravesend, Kent. One of the site contributors has found the nose of what I assume is an AA shell - photo attached - and has offered it for display.

My question is - is it safe, is this just a lump of metal - or does it contain explosives and we should be calling-out the authorities?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Many thanks.

It is only a fuse head and is quite safe.

Like Steve said it's safe, but if you were not sure why mess with it!...
