Article about: I have just picked up a wooden box which has the word Schleifringkorper (umlaut over the o). Does anybody know what this means? I have been unable to get an exact meaning for it as yet. Its

    I have just picked up a wooden box which has the word Schleifringkorper (umlaut over the o). Does anybody know what this means? I have been unable to get an exact meaning for it as yet. Its something to do with mortar bombs I know.

    It's an electromechanical component: A Schleifringkörper is a collector ring-/slip ring assembly.

    Hi Glenn,
    You may well be correct but I am still hanging onto the idea that its connected to mortar bombs in some way (maybe I have a bit more info I am holding back for a little while)
