nice one ade.
Very nice lighter, Ade...I am very fond of Mills grenades...Best regards, Thanos.
Cool item Ade, Have you tried restoring it to see if it will work, as a lighter that is?

Jerry
Whatever its just an opinion.
Hi Jerry, yes it still strikes a spark OK. Just needs wadding and a wick.
I always used to maintain Lez's old Zippo lighter when she smoked (She has not touched a cigarette since her heart attack last New Year: very proud of her!) so it would be simple to restore.
Cheers, Ade.

As you say Ade, a wick and wadding is easy to get. Good for Lez on the given up smoking.

Jerry

I like it, theres so many different "trench art" variations of lighters, it should be a collecting hobby, I used to have a 20mm round that was made into one, and screwed into a brass base plate from a 6pdr shell, my dad used to use it at home every day, god knows what happened to it
I saw a similar one to your one years ago, I was jealous then and still jealous now. Nice lighter
