    I assume,since you don`t say,that these are all .303 cases?...the first is J 16...Birmingham Metal UK....second is...K57...Kynoch UK....third is ....P 16...Peters Cartridge C0. USA....last is US 15....United States Cartridge Co. ....Pete.

    K - Kynoch & Co, Witton, Birmingham, UK there was also K2 at Standish near Wigan, Lancs, UK, K4 at Yeading, Hayes, Middlesex, UK, K5 Kidderminster,, Worcestershire, UK.

    K can also stand for Kirkee or Kirkee Arsenal near Poona India, in 1918 it had the capacity to produce 5.4 million 303 rounds/month

    Birmingham Metal and Munitions Co Ltd, Birmingham UK also used B, M or N ~ Formed in 1897, BM & M had ceased ammunition manufacture by 1920 the company was taken over in 1918 by Explosives Trades Limited which became Nobels Industries, which in turn was to become part of a new giant Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd (ICI) when it was formed in 1926.
