Hey Guys.
Seen this for sale and the guy is saying it's German.
Others are saying Italian.
Anyone know for sure?
I'm also told they make great egg cups.

looks like it might be part of a dummy round for training purposes? i'm not well versed on munitions but that would be my guess. especially with traces of red paint.
Italian 45mm Brixia mortar grenade rear section.
Makes sense to me. I remember using them in the A.T.C when I was 13.
But I can't remember if ours were painted or had coloured tape on them.
All I remember is I was the only one who hit my targets and getting a can of coke for it.
Cheers testmatch.
Dummy round?
Picture of a M39 Brixia (Breda) mortar attached.
From what I remember, red denoted a live round, not a dummy.
Bill posted some of these a while ago. Here's the link.

Cheers mate.
Any idea how much one should fork out for one?
Not a clue I'm afraid. I very rarely buy anything.......just dig it up like me Cheaper

Hi there,
They go for around $200 in Australia. The ones pictured have a white band around the top, this signifies a reduced explosive charge for training. The "war" rounds had a red band around the top. All had red fins etc. Hope this helps?
