Pretty much every standard U.S. issued firearm used this type of cartridge. The only exceptions were the Thompson and .45 Colt, which used .45 caliber rounds, and perhaps the Greasegun and the M1 Carbine. The carbine used a shorter version of the same .30 round. I'm not sure what the greasegun used.

The US M3 'Grease Gun' was a .45 cal SMG but could use a conversion kit for 9mm Parabellum (although this was very rarely done)-as far as the .30 cal Browning goes, Australia still uses it in the turret/cupola mounted on the M113 APC-it's a far more longer ranged round than the 7.62mm as a vehicle mount and the guns themselves will run almost forever-they were, as prev stated, widely distributed around the world, especially Latin America and Asia.

I did not realise the Australian Army had retained the Browning for so long, but I believe all the M113s and Brownings are now relegated to the Reserve.
