Got this at the flea market yesterday for $125. The only maker name is on the scabbard. It is Chatellerault. Could it be the sword maker also? It also looks like the sword was renumbered. It is not real nice but it was cheap. Rich A. in Pa.

It is a French import enlisted artillery sword. The US 1832 model will be stamped US and has a different style grip design with an eagle on the pommel. The American sword has a double fuller running about 4 inches and then a single fuller that runs about 2/3's of the blade.
A great sword for the price.
I think it is real nice..................!

Steve.
